Bio:

I have had a passion for photography since the 60’s. My first camera was a Minolta 35mm SLR which led to freelance photography work in Vancouver BC. Since then my extensive travels around the globe allowed me to captured and appreciate rare moments in our rapidly changing world. The last few years I have also enjoyed photographing sailing races as being on the water is one of my greatest joys in life. I have been honoured to have won a few photography awards.

My images have been used travel brochures, newspapers, magazines, tourism promotion, A&M records & Bryan Adams.

I have lived in British Columbia, Michigan and Manitoba and currently reside on Vancouver Island where I live with my husband and dog. I consider myself very fortunate to reside in one of the most beautiful places on earth.

Lampwork Jewellery

Bio:

An artist all my life, I started making glass beads in 2001, stding at Andrighetti Gallssworks.  Ifell in love with the molten glass that is made in more colours than a box of crayons.

My glass beads are individually handmade using traditional Venetian techniques called ‘lampworking’.  Colourful glass rods are melted over a flame and wound around steel rods, to form the bead.  Other colours are added in layers or details to add to the design.  The bead is cooled slowly in a kiln to make the glass durable for several lifetimes.  Each piece in unique unto itself.

I am inspired to create by the natural elements of the sky, water and land surrounding the beautiful area I live in.

About the Prints:

Prints in my portfolio, range in size from 8" x 10" to as large as 16" x 24”.  Prints generally are offered in two or three sizes. All sizes may not be listed.

Price range is from $20. to $200. for all prints on paper.  Price is generally dependent upon size and does not include matting or framing. The prints on silks and other alternative materials are individually priced.

Care:
As with any artwork, proper care is required to assure longevity.  When unframed the surface of an inkjet print is susceptible to damage from liquids, scratching, or rough handling. It is essential to handle all prints carefully and only by the edges.

Avoid exposing framed or unframed prints to extreme temperature changes in a short span of time (for example, leaving in a hot car), prolonged exposure to excessive humidity (over 60%), or direct sunlight. Any of these conditions can cause damage.

The use of ultraviolet (UV) protection glass is recommended when framing.

The Technology:
All my prints are made with digital technology, using archival pigment-based inks.  These prints have an exceptional richness.

All the prints are available on:
• Archival Matte
• Ultra Smooth Matte
• Premium Luster
• Metallic Glossy
• Bamboo (Hahnemühle)
• Canvas
